Coastal Bend Vulnerability and Resiliency Workshop

The Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program and The Nature Conservancy are working together in conducting a Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment within the Coastal Bend. The intent of this project aligns with the EPA’s Climate Ready Estuaries Program initiative to assess climate change vulnerabilities, develop adaptation strategies, and engage and educate stakeholders.

Goals include:

  • Disseminate the coastal resilience approach and methods used in the coastal vulnerability assessment
  • Gather the input of participants about strategies for adapting to climate related coastal hazards and building resilience
Who should attend?
Workshop participants will include anyone interested in improving their community's resilience and learning more about how to assess local vulnerabilities.  This can include local and state government, land managers, community planners, emergency response personnel, those involved in infrastructure management or code development, resource managers, educators, or any others with an interest in coastal resiliency.
