Mission-Aransas Reserve Headquarters in Port Aransas
The Reserve is based in Port Aransas, TX at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute. The Marine Science Institute provides office, meeting and educational spaces for the Reserve. Come visit our Wetlands Education Center and the Estuary Explorium in the Marine Science Education Center to learn more about why wetlands are important to the way we live and how estuaries enhance our lives. We are located right by the beach and adjacent to the Port Aransas jetties. The Reserve Headquarters is located within the Estuarine Research Center. The address to the University of Marine Science Institute is 750 Channel View Dr., Port Aransas, Texas 78373.
Bay Education Center in Rockport
The Reserve also operates a visitor center in Rockport, TX. Visit our Bay Education Center webpage for events and hours of operation. The address is 121 Seabreeze Dr., Rockport, Texas.
Fennessey Ranch near Refugio
The Reserve owns a conservation easement on Fennessey Ranch, which is located in Refugio County. The Ranch is approximately 3,261 acres and is privately owned. Fennessey Ranch is composed of native tree/brush, prairie, freshwater wetlands, and Mission River riparian corridor. The Reserve utilizes Fennessey Ranch for educational and research programs. The ranch is located just south of Refugio.
