2017 Teachers on the Estuary Workshop July 19-21

The Mission-Aransas Reserve, in partnership with The Nueces Delta Preserve, will be hosting a summer Teachers On The Estuary (TOTE) Workshop. This FREE two and a half day workshop, scheduled July 19-21, 2017, is designed to help middle and high school teachers bring estuarine science into their classroom, laboratory and field programs.

Community Program Floating Habitat: A Balancing Act 5/13 10am-11am

Habitat balance is essential to our coastal estuaries and oceans. Sargassum seaweed is just one important nursery habitats for young fishes, crabs, shrimp and other invertebrates, as well as endangered sea turtles. Join UTMSI scientists as they share their research about these floating nurseries and what impact the Deepwater Horizon oil spill had on them.
