Explore ways to generate a return on investment from wetland preservation/restoration projects for diverse stakeholders
-
Investigate strategies and techniques to quantify social, environmental, and financial benefits of restoration
-
Identify partnerships and opportunities to advance wetlands conservation finance in Texas
Overarching questions to tackle:
- How can investing in wetland preservation, enhancement, restoration, or creation benefit stakeholders?
-
Can the social, environmental, and financial benefits be quantified? Can we make the triple bottom line tangible?
-
How can we leverage our contacts and roles in coastal resource management to engage fellow science, policy, and financial stakeholders in order to identify opportunities where investing in wetlands can improve a company’s bottom line, offer social benefits, raise brand awareness, and meaningfully sustain coastal habitats?
